  • It advocates (=promotes) the payment of a higher price to exporters as well as higher social and environmental standards

  • It is based on a partnership between producers and consumers

  • It offers consumers a powerful way to reduce poverty through their every day shopping.

How does it works ?

Chain of Fair Trade is less long.
The Fair Trade Mark :

Certifies that international Fairtrade standards have been met.

Seeing this label → buy products in solidarity with those who produced them
                          → helps producers struggling to improve their lives
